Mt. Rainier - 2000

We started planning for this trip months in advance. Initially, the team was to be John Schultheis, Michael Manning, Shari Daugherty, Peggy Pitchford, and myself. However, Peggy broke her leg in March and was unable to attend.

We picked a date - we didn't want to go too early in the summer due to the possibility of bad weather, and we didn't want to go too late because of the potential for bad snow conditions. We flew out to Seattle on July 4th, with a return scheduled for July 9th. Shari made arrangements for hotel rooms before and after, and a rental van. We were on two different flights out and met in the Seattle airport.

Day 1 - Paradise to Camp Muir
Day 2 - Camp Muir
Day 3 - Mt. Rainier
Day 4 - Camp Muir to Paradise
